Your files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded. We have no accounts, cookies, analytics scripts or third-party trackers.

Your files

The tools read files on your device. File contents and file names are not sent to this site or anyone else. Results stay in your browser until you download them.

Pages are served with a Content-Security-Policy header containing connect-src 'none', which makes your browser block fetch, XHR, WebSocket and beacon requests from the page. Scripts can load only from this site. You can see the header in your browser’s developer tools.

This header is a safeguard, not a complete barrier: it does not cover every way a page could make a request, such as loading images from this site. The tools simply contain no code that sends your data.

What the server records

Like most web servers, ours keeps an access log so we can keep the site running and count visits. For each request it records:

• The date and time
• The page or file requested
• Your browser’s user agent
• The referring page, if your browser sends one
• A shortened IP address. Only the first half of an IPv4 address, or the first 32 bits of an IPv6 address, is written to disk.

When you start a tool, your browser requests a small counter address such as /e/viewer. It contains the tool’s name, so we can see which tools are used, and nothing about your file.

Logs are deleted after about 30 days. We keep totals, such as visits per page per day, which contain no IP addresses. We don’t sell or share this data.

Hosting

The site runs on a virtual private server rented from Contabo. It uses no external content delivery network, fonts or scripts.
